Enrolment
So you think you might be interested in enrolling your child at Rockingham Montessori School?
Fantastic!
Have you read about Montessori Philosophy and the differences between a Montessori education and mainstream schooling?
Looked at Our School structure and decided its right for your family?
The next step is to make contact with the school and arrange to view a classroom in action. A great time to observe the school is on an Open Day, as the school is freely available for you to explore. There will be people there to guide you around and answer any questions you may have.
Check our calendar for the next Open Day and contact the school for further details.
You can also contact the school for an Application Pack any time of the year, to register your child’s details and interest in enrolling. Or you can download and print off a PDF form directly from the web and send it in to the school:
Or apply from the comfort of your home using our Online Form.
Its best to get in as soon as possible as there is usually a waiting list, especially for children wanting to enter Cycle One.
Once you have submitted your application, you will be advised as to when a place may be available.
When your place comes up, a meeting with the School will be arranged and the opportunity will be given for your child to have a trial session in the class they are to enter. It is important that your child feels at ease in the environment and the process is taken as slowly as is needed.
One way to help your child transition to school is to attend the Rockingham Montessori Playgroup prior to beginning Cycle One. The playgroup equipment and environment is similar to the Cycle One classrooms, allowing your child to develop confidence and familiarity.
